Fabric patches based on original NRO designs on denim jackets
In the 1960's the American National Reconnaisance Office unwillingly gave away too much information about a mission on one of their mission patches. Soon people figured out that what looked like purely decorational elements were actually precise indicators of mission details.
As a result the NRO's design department decided to take their patch designs entirely over the top in order to avoid future information spilling. The result is a strange combination of military symbolism and pop culture elements that resemble biker club or band logos.
