During the Berlin state elections a large variety of posters by independet candidates can be seen on the streets of the city. Even though these candidates have little to no chance of entering the parliament, they are willing to invest considerable amounts of time and money. What they lack in professionalism they make up for with a strong sense of mission. „Der Kandidat“ follows an independent candidate on the night of one of his election campaign events.
